Why Us

There is no doubt that a parent who is informed is more confident. Moreover, being well prepared for the arrival of your baby makes the first weeks considerably easier. Our support continues after the course has finished – we are on hand for any questions or worries you may have either during pregnancy, labour or once your baby has arrived.

OUR TEAM consists of some of best in their field who have spent years formulating the best of information, researching statistics, consulting physicians nationally and internationally to integrate the best program for mothers.

We’re not stuck in the dark ages, using old-fashioned ideas and teaching you much of what you already know. Our emphasis is on the practical, and our teachers draw on the very latest evidence-based research. As well as covering all aspects of labour and birth, we address those crucial early days and weeks of parenthood, including plenty of practical tips and advice on how to care for your newborn.
How best to look after yourself in pregnancy, during your delivery and after the birth. Your body is undergoing significant physical, hormonal and psychological changes. We look at common problems during this time, how to avoid them and where to seek help should you need it.
Our classes not only prepare you for the birth of your baby but we also spend time focusing on life once your baby has arrived, and preparing you as best we can for this. Looking after your baby after birth, including feeding, soothing, recognizing common causes of crying and how to resolve them will be discussed. Our professionals cover what should be in your baby’s medical kit as well as common health problems for mother and baby in the postnatal period. Our breastfeeding experts, focus on how to establish successful breastfeeding.
Having friends who live locally with babies the same age can be invaluable during the early days of parenthood, as well as for many years to come. We make sure everyone’s due dates are around the same time to ensure companionship and support when it counts, and of course a ready-made group of buddies for your babies!
Whether you’d like a home birth, water birth, epidural or C-section, our course is the place for you. We aim to prepare people for any eventuality in labour and to inspire them to feel great about themselves whatever type of birth they end up having, and whatever style of parenting they choose.
Preparing you for the delivery of your baby – we give you the skills and information you need to try to achieve a natural delivery but we understand that however well you prepare, this is not always possible. We therefore cover all types of pain relief and medical intervention, from assisted delivery to caesarean section thereby preparing you for all eventualities.
Establishing your support network. Fewer things are more important for new parents than a good support network. The Pebbles Team is available for help and advice after your baby is born. We recognize that one of the most important aspects of the course is the friendships built within your group, who will, inevitably form a large part of your support network. Having a group of friends whose babies are the same age, who share the concerns and challenges that you will be facing cannot be underestimated.
What makes Pebbles leaps and bounds better than any other course is our constant ability to update ourselves with the latest trends and research internationally on everything related to childcare. Don't be surprised if our class has our teachers teach you cradling techniques from Germany and breathing techniques from America. Everything taught to our mothers is only taught after it has been proved scientifically to be effective in helping mothers the right way.
